ColorSnap Privacy Policy

1. Introduction and Scope

• Applicability: This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Color Snap app worldwide.
• Acceptance of Terms: By using Color Snap, you acknowledge and agree to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.
• No Paid Features: Color Snap is currently offered free of charge. I do not collect payment card information, billing addresses, or financial account details.
• App Identity: Color Snap is a color-matching game that includes gameplay features such as multiplayer rooms, user profiles, achievements, and global leaderboards.
• Developer Commitment: I respect your privacy and am committed to handling user data responsibly and transparently.
• Data Storage: To provide app functionality, certain information may be securely stored using Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. This may include account identifiers, gameplay progress, multiplayer room data, leaderboard information, and other data necessary for the operation of the app.
• Limited Data Collection: I collect only the information reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the app and its features. I do not intentionally collect unnecessary personal information.
• Advertising Services: Color Snap may display advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process certain device and advertising-related information in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
• No Sale of Personal Information: I do not sell, rent, trade, license, or otherwise provide users' personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
• Third-Party Services: The app relies on trusted third-party services, including Google Firebase and Google AdMob, to provide authentication, cloud storage, multiplayer functionality, leaderboards, analytics, security, and advertising services. These providers may process data according to their own privacy policies.

2. Information I Collect

• Anonymous Guest Accounts: When you first use Color Snap, an anonymous account may be created using Firebase Authentication. This account is identified by a unique ID and does not contain personally identifiable information.
• Google Sign-In: If you choose to sign in with your Google account, I may receive your display name, email address, and profile photo from Google.
• Public Profile Information: If you use Google Sign-In, your display name and profile photo may be visible to other players in multiplayer rooms, leaderboards, game results, and other social features within the app.
• Email Address Privacy: Your email address is used only for authentication and account management purposes. It is not displayed publicly to other users.
• Gameplay Data: I may store gameplay-related information such as wins, losses, scores, rankings, achievements, statistics, game history, and account creation dates to provide app features and maintain leaderboards.
• Public Information: Display names, profile photos, rankings, scores, and other gameplay-related information may be visible to other players through multiplayer features, leaderboards, game rooms, and public game records.
• Multiplayer Data: To enable online gameplay, I may store and process information related to game rooms, player participation, match status, and game outcomes.
• Network Status: The app may detect whether your device is connected to the internet in order to enable or disable online features appropriately.
• Local Preferences: Settings such as theme preferences and haptic feedback options, and other app preferences may be stored locally on your device.
• Advertising Data: If advertisements are displayed through Google AdMob, Google may collect certain device and advertising-related information in accordance with its own privacy policies.

3. Use of Information

• Multiplayer Functionality: I use account information and gameplay data to provide online multiplayer features, create game rooms, and allow players to participate in matches.
• Leaderboard Functionality: I use gameplay statistics, scores, rankings, display names, and profile photos to maintain and display leaderboards within the app.
• Profile Display: If you sign in with Google, I use your display name and profile photo to personalize your in-app profile and identify you to other players where applicable.
• Account Management: I use authentication information to maintain your account, save your progress, and provide access to app features across sessions.
• Preference Storage: Local preferences, such as theme and haptic feedback settings, are used to remember your chosen app experience.
• Fair Play and Security: I may review gameplay-related information and ranking data to help maintain fair gameplay and prevent abuse, cheating, or manipulation of leaderboards.
• Advertising: Color Snap uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Advertisements help support the development, maintenance, and availability of the app. The app currently does not offer a paid version or an option to remove advertisements.

4. Third-Party Services

• Firebase Authentication: I use Firebase Authentication to provide anonymous guest accounts and optional Google Sign-In functionality.
• Cloud Firestore: I use Cloud Firestore to store and synchronize player information, including profiles, rankings, gameplay statistics, wins, losses, and other data required for app functionality.
• Firebase Realtime Database: I use Firebase Realtime Database to support multiplayer gameplay features, including room creation, player participation, match synchronization, and real-time game state updates.
• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): The app displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Google may collect and process advertising-related information, including advertising identifiers and device-related information, in accordance with its own privacy policies.
• Google Sign-In: If you choose to sign in with a Google account, authentication and account information are provided through Google's services and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Connectivity Plus: The app uses Connectivity Plus solely to determine whether an internet connection is available and to enable or disable online features accordingly.
• Third-Party Privacy Policies: These third-party services operate under their own privacy policies and data handling practices. I encourage users to review the privacy policies of Google, Firebase, and AdMob to better understand how their information may be processed.
• External Services: Advertisements or external links displayed within the app may redirect users to third-party websites or services. I am not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of those third-party services.

5. Device Permissions and Storage

• Internet Access (INTERNET): Required to support online gameplay, user authentication, multiplayer features, leaderboard functionality, cloud data synchronization, advertisements, and Google Sign-In.
• Vibration (VIBRATE): Used to provide optional haptic feedback during gameplay and user interactions.
• Local Device Storage: The app stores certain settings and preferences locally on your device to remember your selected experience and app configuration.
• No External Storage Access: I do not read, modify, or store files in your device's external storage, photo gallery, downloads folder, or personal documents.
• No Camera or Microphone Access: The app does not access, collect, record, or process camera, video, or microphone data.
• No Location Access: The app does not access, collect, store, or track your precise or approximate location.
• Limited Permissions: The app only requests and uses the permissions necessary to provide its intended functionality. No permissions beyond those described in this Privacy Policy are intentionally accessed or used by the app.

6. User Rights and Controls

• Voluntary Sign-In: You may use Color Snap as a guest without linking a Google account. Google Sign-In is entirely optional.
• Account Deletion: The "Delete Account" option is available to all users, including both guest accounts and Google-linked accounts. When an account is deleted, all associated game data, progress, statistics, and account information stored by ColorSnap are permanently removed from our systems. This action cannot be undone.
• Data Deletion: When you choose to delete your account, app will permanently remove the account data associated with your profile, including gameplay statistics, rankings, leaderboard records, profile information, and other data stored for app functionality.
• Authentication Removal: The associated Firebase Authentication account and any linked Google Sign-In credentials used by the app will be removed from my systems where applicable.
• Permanent Deletion: Account deletion is irreversible. Once your account and data have been deleted, they cannot be restored, recovered, or recreated by me or app under any circumstances.
• Google Account Access: You may also manage or revoke Color Snap's access permissions through your Google Account security settings at any time.

7. Data Retention and Security

• Retention Duration: I retain your profile and score history in Firestore while your account remains active, or until you delete your account.
• Encryption in Transit: All traffic between the App and Firebase databases is encrypted using SSL/TLS.
• Data Storage Security: Your profile data is hosted on Google's secure Firebase cloud infrastructure, which complies with international security standards.
• No Offline Backups: App do not compile offline spreadsheets, backups, or physical prints of your credentials.
• Session Cleanup: Session records are deleted shortly after multiplayer matches conclude, keeping database weight minimal.
• Third-Party Infrastructure: These services are operated and maintained by Google and are subject to Google's own security practices, policies, and infrastructure.
• No Absolute Guarantee: While service providers implement security measures, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Children's Privacy

• Children's Privacy: Color Snap is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
• Parental Requests: If a parent or guardian believes that a child under the age of 13 has provided personal information through the app, please contact me at help@vinitgarach.com. I will review the request and take appropriate action where required.
• Age-Appropriate Content: Color Snap contains color-based gameplay, reaction challenges, and focus-oriented game mechanics. The app does not contain graphic violence, adult content, gambling-related content, or other mature themes.
• Healthy Gameplay: Color Snap is designed for entertainment and skill development, including reaction speed, concentration, and focus. Users are encouraged to take regular breaks and play responsibly.

9. International Data Transfers

• Global Infrastructure: Color Snap relies on Google services, including Firebase and AdMob, to provide authentication, cloud storage, multiplayer functionality, leaderboards, and advertising. As a result, information processed by these services may be stored or processed on servers located in countries other than your country of residence.
• Cross-Border Data Processing: By using Color Snap, you acknowledge that information required for the operation of the app may be transferred, stored, and processed by Google's global infrastructure in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and applicable laws.

10. Policy Updates and Contact Information

• Policy Updates: I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, third-party services, or operational practices.
