ColorSnap Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement and Definitions

• Agreement: These Terms & Conditions form a legal agreement between you ("User") and me, the developer of Color Snap ("I", "me", or "my").
• Application Description: Color Snap is a color-based gaming application that includes gameplay features such as color challenges, score tracking, leaderboards, user profiles, and multiplayer functionality.
• User Eligibility: By using Color Snap, you represent that you are legally permitted to use the app under the laws applicable in your jurisdiction. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should use the app with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
• Acceptance of Terms: By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Color Snap, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
• Changes to Terms: I may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Updated versions will be published on this page. Continued use of Color Snap after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. License and Permitted Use

• Limited License: I grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use Color Snap for personal and non-commercial purposes only.
• Restrictions: You may not copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, decrypt, or attempt to derive the source code of the app except where permitted by applicable law.
• No Redistribution: You may not sell, rent, lease, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit the app or any part of it without prior written permission.
• Fair Use of the Game: You may not use bots, automated scripts, macros, modified clients, cheats, exploits, or similar tools to gain an unfair advantage or manipulate gameplay, rankings, scores, or multiplayer results.
• Service Integrity: You may not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, damage, bypass, or gain unauthorized access to the app, its services, servers, databases, or related systems.
• Malicious Activity: You may not use the app for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, abusive, or malicious purposes, including distributing malware or attempting to exploit security vulnerabilities.

3. Pricing and Availability

• Free Access: Color Snap is currently available to users free of charge.
• No Current Purchases: At the time of publication of these Terms, the app does not offer in-app purchases, subscriptions, premium memberships, or paid gameplay advantages.
• Gameplay-Based Progress: Scores, rankings, and leaderboard positions are determined by gameplay performance and participation.
• No In-App Purchases: There are no virtual currencies, subscriptions, premium unlocks, cosmetic skins, or power-ups available for purchase.
• No Financial Transactions: The App does not link to credit cards, payment processors, or digital wallets.
• No Pay-To-Win: Game ratings and leaderboard rankings are earned solely through gameplay performance and matchmaking results.

4. User Accounts and Registration

• Guest Authentication: Color Snap automatically creates an anonymous Firebase account to store gameplay-related information such as ratings, scores, wins, losses, achievements, and app preferences.
• Google Account Linking: You may link your anonymous account to a Google account to preserve progress across devices and create a public player profile.
• Google Display Name Consent: By linking a Google account, you consent to your Google display name being visible to other players within multiplayer features, leaderboards, and profile screens.
• Google Profile Photo Consent: By linking a Google account, you consent to your Google profile photo being visible to other players within multiplayer features, leaderboards, and profile screens.
• Public Profile Information: Your display name, profile photo, rating score, best score, wins, losses, and account creation date may be displayed publicly within the app.
• Email Address Privacy: If you sign in with Google, your email address is used only for authentication purposes and is not publicly displayed to other users.
• Personal Responsibility: You are responsible for activities that occur through your anonymous or linked Google account while using Color Snap.
• Device Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and preventing unauthorized access to your account, gameplay data, ratings, and profile information.

5. Multiplayer and Game Rules

• Fair Matchmaking: Matchmaking uses rating brackets. Attempting to artificially lower or boost ratings (win-trading) violates these Terms.
• Multiplayer Rooms: You can create or join custom rooms for battles; all participants must abide by sportsmanlike behavior.
• Connection Heartbeat: The multiplayer system uses a heartbeat check; disconnection during active play may result in rating penalties.
• Rating Deductions: If you disconnect or close the App during a match, the system automatically awards the win to the active opponent and deducts points from your rating.
• Leaderboard Integrity: I reserve the right to remove any player from the leaderboard if suspicious rating activity or cheating is detected.
• No Chat Content: There is no in-game chat system, eliminating risk of user-generated offensive text within matches.

6. Device Permissions and Network Costs

• Internet Requirement: The App requires active internet access for Google Sign-In, Firebase database syncing, and ad serving.
• Data Charges: You are solely responsible for any carrier network charges, roaming fees, or data limits exceeded while playing the App.
• Offline Mode Limitations: Playing offline disables Google account linking, multiplayer battles, matchmaking, and leaderboard syncing.
• Vibrate Feedback: The App uses your device's vibration hardware to provide sensory feedback during gameplay.
• Disabling Haptics: You can turn off vibration feedback at any time via the Settings Screen without affecting gameplay ability.

7. In-App Advertisements

• Ad-Supported Model: To help support the ongoing development, maintenance, and operation of Color Snap, advertisements may be displayed through Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob).
• Ad Impressions: By using Color Snap, you acknowledge that advertisements may be displayed during app usage, including banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements.
• No Ad-Free Option: Color Snap currently does not provide a paid version, subscription, or any option to permanently remove advertisements.
• Ad Frequency: Advertisements are displayed at intervals determined by the app and may vary depending on gameplay, app updates, and technical requirements.
• Ad Blockers and Modifications: Attempting to bypass, interfere with, block, or manipulate advertisements through unauthorized modifications, tools, or software may result in restricted access to certain features or services.
• Third-Party Advertisements: Advertisements are provided by third-party advertising services. I do not endorse, guarantee, or accept responsibility for the products, services, offers, or content displayed in third-party advertisements.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

• Ownership of Assets: All graphics, artwork, audio, source code, layouts, visual themes, logos, icons, text, designs, game mechanics, and other assets contained within Color Snap are owned by me or used under appropriate license.
• Trademark Protection: The name "Color Snap" and any associated branding, logos, or identifying elements may not be used without my prior written permission.
• No Proprietary Claim: Using Color Snap does not grant you any ownership rights, intellectual property rights, or proprietary interest in the app or its contents.
• No Unauthorized Reproduction: You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, modify, or create derivative works from any part of Color Snap except where permitted by applicable law.
• User License Only: Your right to use Color Snap is limited to the license granted under these Terms and does not transfer ownership of any part of the app.
• Feedback and Suggestions: If you voluntarily provide suggestions, ideas, feature requests, bug reports, or other feedback regarding Color Snap, I may use such feedback without restriction or compensation.
• Third-Party Property: Certain third-party services, trademarks, logos, or technologies used within Color Snap remain the property of their respective owners.
• Copyright Protection: Unauthorized copying, redistribution, modification, or commercial use of any part of Color Snap may violate copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

9. Account Deletion and Termination

• Account Deletion: All users, including guest users and users signed in with a Google account, can permanently delete their account using the "Delete Account" button available in the Settings Screen.
• User-Initiated Deletion: When you request account deletion, your account and associated game data will be permanently removed from systems.
• Data Deletion Process: Deletion permanently removes your user profile, Firestore document, rating, score statistics, win/loss history, authentication records, and other account-related data associated with your gameplay.
• No Account Retrieval: Once account deletion is completed, the data is unrecoverable and I cannot restore your previous rating, achievements, progress, or account.
• Termination by the Developer: I reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to multiplayer features, leaderboards, or related services if these Terms are violated or if abuse, cheating, fraud, or unauthorized activity is detected.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

• "As Is" Basis: The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" with all faults and without warranty of any kind.
• No Server Guarantee: I do not warrant that multiplayer servers, Firebase databases, or AdMob services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• User Understanding: By using Color Snap, you acknowledge that gameplay experience, online features, and service availability may vary depending on device compatibility, internet connectivity, and third-party services.
• Voluntary Use: Your use of Color Snap is voluntary, and you acknowledge that the app is provided without guarantees beyond those required by applicable law.
• Disclaimer of Warranties: I disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, I shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
• Data Loss Indemnity: I am not responsible for loss of scores, ratings, or local configurations due to database migrations or device updates.
• Third-Party Services: Certain features of Color Snap rely on third-party services including Google Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google Play Services, and Google AdMob. Availability of these services is outside my control.

11. Children's Use

• Parental Supervision: If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should use Color Snap with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
• No Special Children's Services: Color Snap is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13.
• Gameplay Responsibility: Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring a child's use of the app and any online features available through the app.

12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

• Jurisdiction: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your country, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, that provision will be severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
• Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the complete understanding between you and developer regarding the use of Color Snap.
